The purpose of this CNC Working Group is to promote member prosomal CAD/CAM usage training with
an emphasis on hobby use. Members are encouraged to share personal CNC successes and failures.
Goal:
Provide access to all members to utilize CNC Routing, Laser Cutting and 3D printing to increase
individual capabilities. Anyone interested in personal CNC use is welcome to attend meetings.
Meeting Format:
New Members, Member Success/Failure Stories, Upcoming Events, Monthly Training Topic, Demonstration,
Next Meeting Location/Demonstration (No 50/50, Secretary or Treasurer Reports)
What is CNC?
Computer numerical control (commonly called CNC) is the automated control of machining tools
(such as drills, boring tools, lathes) and 3D printers by means of a computer.
A CNC machine processes a piece of material (metal, plastic, wood, ceramic, or composite)
to meet specifications by following a coded programmed instruction and without a manual operator.
Lightworks (not the easiest to learn, but good balance of features vs learning curve)
Handbrake (windows and mac)
Blender
Avidemux
Download links to all of the editors are available at the pcmag site.
DaVinci Resolve (feature rich; not the easiest to learn)
VideoPad (very limited output file types in free version, that's why I paid for the full version)
